After returning from maternity leave and being made redundant, Bev Shah made the decision not to return to the City. Instead, she took her 15 years of investment experience and founded City Hive - a think tank committed to building an inclusive investment management Industry and an equitable and sustainable society. Here, she tells us - how being the only girl in her year to board at school put her in good stead for career in the City, she's confident in her skin no matter what, navigating personal loss, depression and redundancy at the same time and, trying to find the joy in every day. Bev also shares how firms need to put their money where their mouths are, when it comes to improving the culture of the City, and why she won’t stand for greenwashing.
